The cells shown here are from a venous sample of blood. They are endothelial cells of blood vessel. These are not often seen, but they should not be mistaken for blasts or tumor cells. These cells have light-staining, homogeneous chromatin and fluffy, light-blue cytoplasm. They are not included in a white cell differential count.
