We expect a lymphocyte to have a round, regular nucleus, but it may be slightly irregular and indented, as is this lymphocyte. This cell also has a light-staining, round nucleolus, which is normal for lymphocytes. The dark aggregates of chromatin should not be confused with the light-colored nucleoli.
