This cell is another monoblast, identified because it was in blood that contained many monocytes. The nuclear chromatin is extremely fine, like ground glass. The nucleus contains three light-staining nucleoli. This cell also could be considered a myeloblast. The chromatin is too fine and the cytoplasm too abundant for the cell to be considered a lymphoblast.
