Slide 8
This is another myeloblast. The nucleus is slightly irregular in shape, which may be the result of distortion in spreading the blood on the slide. The N:C ratio is about 8:1. There are at least four nucleoli. The nuclear chromatin is fine and stains light. No granules are present. As on the previous slide, the basophilia is more pronounced on the outer edge of the cytoplasm, with a lighter area around the nucleus.
