A trinucleated plasma cell occurs in the lower center of this picture. It was observed in the bone marrow of a patient with MM. Multinucleated cells can be seen in reactive bone marrow also. They are often seen in the bone marrow of patients with secondary plasmacytosis, and therefore are not diagnostic of a primary plasma cell dyscrasia.
